Eligibility Criteria for Membership:

Any firm, cooperative society, partnership entity, company, or any corporate body engaged as Unit Investor in any of the Economic Zones across Bangladesh established either through Public Private Ownership or by the Government or as G2G or by Private Ownership, shall be eligible to become a Member of the Association.

Requirements For Membership Application:

• Application Form duly filled in. [CEO of one of the existing member companies has to propose the application and another CEO has to second it.]
• Copy of Memorandum and Article of Association.
• Copy of Certificate of Incorporation.
• Copy of Form 12 of Register Joint Stock Companies.
• Copy of Valid Trade License of the Company.
• Copy of Tax Certificate of the Company.
• Copy of VAT Registration Certificate of the Company.
• Project Description and Layout of the Company.
• A written application on Letter Head Pad of the Company
• Photocopy of NID/passport of the Managing Director/Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the applicant company.
• Three (3) Copies Passport Size Recent Photograph, Two (2) business card of the Representative.
• PO/DD/Cheque in favor of “Bangladesh Economic Zone Investors Association” Total amounting of Tk. 1,52,000.00 (Taka One Lac Fifty-Two thousand only) [Admission Fee Tk. 50,000 + Yearly Subscription Tk. 100,000 + Membership Form Tk 2,000]
• Declaration in the company letterhead signed by its Managing Director/Chairman/CEO to the effect that “there is no criminal or bankruptcy record in the name of the partners/directors of the company in their respective home countries or anywhere in the world”. (Only for Foreign Companies)

Procedure for Membership:

Any applicant fulfilling the requirement above-mentioned qualification and desirous of becoming a member of the Association shall submit an application to the Executive Committee duly proposed and seconded by two current members of the Association. The Committee shall have the power to apply conditions and/or to reject applications for membership without assigning reasons thereof.

Admission Fees & Annual Fees:

Admission Fees-

Any organization qualifying to be a member as per article 5 shall be liable to pay admission fee (one time) of Tk. 50,000/ (Taka Fifty Thousand only) for membership.

Annual Membership Fees-

Every Board of Directors (BOD) Member of the Association shall pay annual subscription of Tk. 1,50,000/- (Taka One Lac Fifty Thousand only) and every General Member of the Association shall pay annual subscription of TK. 1,00,000/- ((Taka One Lac only) on or before 31st December every calendar year to the Association or in such a manner as the Executive Committee shall prescribe from time to time.
